Modern reforestation is more than just planting trees. Effective reforestation requires selection of appropriate site preparation techniques, matching tree species with site, and choosing the best seedling genetics available.

Successful reforestation is the first step in a profitable forest management program. Natural Resource Planning Services, Inc. (NRPS) offers a turn-key reforestation program with site specific prescriptions aimed at optimizing your investment dollars.

NRPS provides the following reforestation services:

• Assessment of site and site preparation measures
• Species selection
• Securing and supervising reputable and insured site preparation contractors
• Ordering trees and arranging for delivery and storage of seedlings
• First year seedling survival checks
• Coordination with County Forester/Property Appraiser (if necessary)

Reclamation often involves planting a wide variety of native tree and understory species. NRPS has considerable experience and expertise in planting upland and littoral vegetation in order to accomplish reclamation goals.

NRPS has provided reclamation services for many years and our list or reclamation projects include phosphate, aggregate, and sand mines. Since 1992, NRPS, Inc. has been a contractor to Florida Rock Industries for the reclamation planting of seedling trees on several of their rock and sand mines throughout Florida. Since 1998, NRPS, Inc. has been a contractor to IMC & Cargill (now Mosaic) for the reclamation planting of seedling trees. This reclamation has included native upland and wetland species of trees and grasses on a variety of FLUCCS codes.

At your request, Natural Resource Planning Services, Inc. will examine your reforestation/reclamation needs to provide you with a plan that gets your new forest off to the best start possible.
